The Tour de Lunsar is Sierra Leone’s biggest bike race. The African bike race exists on a shoestring budget but neverthless is the ‘richest’ event in one of the world’s poorest countries. The race has no UCI status and even works outside the remit of Sierra Leone’s national cycling governing body. Our ultimate goal is to promote cycling sport in Sierra Leone. Riders coming from order country would have to full register to enter the race and all funds we received from riders coming from Europe and America could to promote the event annually.  The 2019 edition truly showcased the best the sport has to offer in West Africa. Ali Tholley (C2C Freetown) and our own Osman T. Kalokoh, battled out it out in a thrilling race and it was the 16-year-old Tholley who got the better of OTK and won the race. Isata Sama Mondeh, a bike mechanic from Makeni, won the women’s race.
